Art Direction Findings:

  • Art direction its about leading creative departments ensuring visuals generate clear communication using clear:
    – colour
    – typography
    – layout
  • I have learnt that art direction can involve risky decision making such as the Burger King “Rotten Burger” campaign.

  • On the other hand, art direction can get consumers involved such as the Coca-Cola “Share a Coke” campaign.

Early Development and Ideas for the Project:

  • Early sketches of possible ideas that did not make it to the final stage.
  • Final stage design with annotations following what I learnt about being an art director.

Feedback:

  • Feedback 1: Addition of QR code and logo to final design.
  • Feedback 2: Bubbly text.
  • Being able to apply changes from criticism.

Approach to the Project:

  • Creation of mood boards to understand what fruits/vegetables look appealing skin and flesh.
  • Taking the target audience into consideration (Younger Generation).
  • Creation of 5 posters to represent 5-A-DAY.
