Conceptually Designed Personal Logo

Within this blog post I will be explaining the 2 conceptually designed personal logo’s I have constructed using Adobe Illustrator.

Figure 3: This is my first conceptually designed personal logo which shows a sword slash across my name.

Within my first design I have constructed a sword slash throughout my forename. The main reason for this being a conceptual design is from the blade and hilt of the sword being implemented within the left hand side of the letter “K”. The reason why this is conceptual is because sword are typically straight, long and sharp, the left hand side of the “K” is straight and long and to make it sharp I used a pen tool to take apart the tip of the “K” using the “Shape Builder” tool.

Secondly, I have created the sword slash within my name using the “Pen Tool” to create the cut, the use the “Shape Builder” tool to dissect the characters, then use the upper arrow key to lift the characters to give it a slash effect.

Figure 4: This is my second conceptually design personal logo which demonstrates a constellation.

Within my second design I have created a constellation with my initials. The reason for this being conceptual is because, the constellation is the Capricorn constellation which is the part of the year I was born in. I decided to remove part of the constellation and insert my initials side by side which formed the missing line I removed using the “Minion Variable Concept” font. This small detail means that my name is forming the missing line and completes the constellation ultimately meaning that I am apart of the constellation. Furthermore I have constructed 11 stars across the constellation that vary in size to match the real constellation that we can all view in outer space such as increasing the “Algiedi” star size and decreasing the smaller ones sizes such as the “Marakk” star (Constellation guide, n.d). This was purely done to represent the real constellation to make the logo all the more accurate and relatable.
